Smith Gee Studio developed the master plan, facilitated neighborhood meetings and secured the entitlements for this infill redevelopment in the thriving East Nashville neighborhood and is designing a 291-unit mixed-use building and 17 townhomes.
The concept creates a place that enhances the neighborhood with needed housing options and commercial opportunities while respecting the surrounding neighborhood’s historical context.
More intensity is placed towards the Gallatin and West Eastland corridors, focusing density and commercial development within higher traffic areas. The streetscape along West Eastland will provide opportunities for outdoor dining and outdoor plaza space. In addition, the plan creates a new street, extending Bailey Street through the site providing a new access point and a beautiful gateway into the neighborhood.
